Photography has never been a job for me but my passion that evovled into a career over the last 20 years. Everywhere I travel no matter if it is across the country or in my own backyard, I always have a camera in hand. I began in a Chicago studio at the age 18, then took quick interest in working in the studio lab as well as training to use a medium format camera to produce high resolution portraits on location family, wedding and commercial photographs.
Today I have embraced the digital world and the creativity that goes with post-processing.
I approach every session with several pre-planned images but I do prefer to rely on my ability to "see" the image as I encounter it. Creating photographs is an adventure from composing the image in my head all the way to processing the final image into print. My inspiration comes from the ability to create clear and colorful photos that are balanced but uniquely composed to give my client a memorable portfolio that will be looked upon for years to come.
